The publication date is May 20th, 2025
In Incidental Pollen, the presence of the bee hovers over lives, dreams, memory, and beloved dead—a conduit for poems that speak a language “native to wounds.” Some formal, some tightly structured free verse, these poems at last look fear in the face and refuse to stay silent. Lean in and listen to them hum.—Meg Kearney, author of All Morning the Crows and The Ice Storm

From Karen George

Two new works from Karen George –

“How We Fracture” won Minerva Rising Press’ Rosemary Daniell Fiction Prize. Here is what Contest Judge Anjali Enjeti, said about How We Fracture:
“One entry truly knocked my socks off — every story was vibrant, devastating, potent and so deserving of this prize. And the prose was flawless. It’s Karen George’s How We Fracture. I can’t stop thinking about these stories and I can’t wait to see the book on bookshelves!”
How We Fracture is a collection of modern-day stories told from female points-of-view of teenage to women in their fifties and sixties at moments of fracture involving financial instability, reproductive rights, body image, sexuality and sexual preference, relationships, addiction, loss, aging, and mental health. The main characters are students, visual artists, fashion designers, a legal secretary, house sitter, vet assistant, jewelry maker, a collector of miniatures, a nurse, and a breath facilitator. Several stories take place in unusual settings: a nudist camp, a gas station restroom, an arboretum, a doctor’s office, and a walk-in closet. This book can be ordered using the link below.

“Caught in the Trembling Net” – her 4th Poetry collection now available from Kelsay Books — https://kelsaybooks.com/…/caught-in-the-trembling-net…

The poems are inspired by the life and artwork of Frida Kahlo, Georgia O’Keeffe, and Emily Carr. The collection includes prose poems, haibuns, golden shovels, and found poems created from words, lines and phrases in the artists’ journals, letters, writings, and titles from their body of artwork.

From Michael J Olson

“In the Tall Grasses”, Michael’s first book, was published by Finishing Line Press in June of 2024.

About this book: Navigating life among the tall grasses is enigmatic. The poems within delve into our connections with nature, deities, material possessions and other beings—questioning our purpose, their purpose and our ultimate goals. As life relinquishes its hold on us and we journey to our far fields, how do these relationships transform for those we leave behind and for the souls we will become?
